Each year we pack up every single Giant Hat and Kungsornen we own, gather the whole team, brush our hair, and set off to Fitzwilliam Square in Dublin for the annual Odaois Street Life Exhibition. Odaios is a luxury food and beverage supplier, selling first-rate products to the finest restaurants and cafes in Ireland.
This will be the 3rd year in a row that Magnakata has provided the tents for this show-stopping event. Ed said that this year was the best in terms of setting up and taking down, with everything going like clock work. The team was at maximum effieciency with everyone working together to get the tipis up in time for Odaios to come in and and work their magic.
A trade event by invitation only, saw enthusiatic chefs and foodies alike, work their way through the Tipis, taking inspiration from producers, farmers, butchers, bakers, mixologists and baristas, showcasing their new tastes and textures of 2014.
For the first time Ed was able to attend the event and brought his Dad and trustee photographer (aka his lovely wife Rachael!). All 3 enjoy their food enormously and were wowed by what was on offer - from North Mayo Mountain lamb to the "best sun dried tomatoes I have ever tasted". The lamb was cooked by the charismatic Chris from Hog Roast (available for weddings!) pictured below alongside his 'tools' and some of our benches and tables.
We loved the props they used around the the Tipis. Our reindeer skins looked great, and the giant wooden mushrooms and the very cool chairs outside the Movenpick stand, that we thought looked so good in the tipis, really brought the festival to life.
All-in-all, this is a seriously WOW event done to the highest professionalism whilst creating a warm, relaxed and lively atmosphere. Well done Odaios - can't wait until next year!
